Book Cover & Apparel Design

Many years ago I was hired by Curriculum Associates (1992) in the Boston area to illustrate a portrait for a book cover called Legendary Leaders from Around the World. José Julián Martí Pérez (January 28, 1853 – May 19, 1895) who was a Cuban national hero and an important figure in Latin American literature.

Adamant Press in Vermont (2001) hired me to illustrate the book cover for Farewell to Earth, Edging Into Mainstream. The book was based on why native Saskatchewan Metis-Indians (I was told I was related to the Metis Indians), failed to edge into white mainstream.

In 1993 I was hired by the Silk Club to create silk shirt designs for Neiman Marcus & Macey’s. I was hired to create four designs for Pete Rose, who I meet because he had to approve my designs. This was my early attempt at decoupage with acrylic and my first apparel illustration design.
